LPC...As I ponder his contemporaries/peers/competitors...all of the "pioneer" guys...Ellison,Bill Joy, Gates, Allen, Wozniak, Andy Grove et al...he still seems to stand...taller.
He didn't seem to have a selfish bone in his body. He found real joy in his work, and it was with a great deal of pride that he presented each and every Apple product. In his words, "This is so cool."
Taller indeed. I feel like I lost a friend and yet I never met him. I knew it was coming, we all did, but still it stings, and tears away a piece of me, knowing he is gone.
Very sad day indeed.
