This Girl...

....LFG; gave me a hat. A hat that's a little too small but one that I'm proud of. So I'm wearing it today. And I'm gonna wear it everyday for the rest of the week. I'm wearing it to all of my business and social commitments for the balance of the week. Because that's just how I roll.
And I'm rolling over to LFG's school in a moment to pick her up. We'll work on her first book project of the year and then we'll have dinner. And she's gonna stay the night.
Nirvana. Bliss. Joy. Onward. With a hat.

Now that is a father's love! Those are great zebra leggings LFG is sporting, fuzzy acorns don't fall far from the tree do they? Reminds me of the socks my daughter wore playing softball. Did you get my email, what did you think of my print?

Dedicated Daddy! That's love.

Ah..I am guessing the princess made the hat? if so tell her your loyal readers believe it to be the best sartorial dressage you have chosen yet.

And that last picture is as always, too precious. I miss the days of elastic-band, dimpled wrists in my own daughters.....

I know the hat is from your daughter and all....but all I can think is the "Caddyshack" line..."Usually with a hat like that you get a free bowl of soup....oh it looks good on you though"

Cecelia...yep. It's like Dr. Suess threw up on my head.

Preppy101....thanks. Nine more months...nine more months...

James...yes, got your email. Thought I'd responded to it. The print is great. You'll be getting more. My zebra clad girl and her team mates got a bad whuppin on Saturday.

SilkReggie...I ain't got nothin' else.

SouthernProle...indeed. And the little fat leg wrinkles too. Remember?

MainLiner....you are spot on.

Great frames. May I inquire where from?

That hat cries out for the CrocoMocos.

ADG - Always said you'd look great in a hat...go rock your Ralph camel hair and Flusser navy windowpane - looking forward to seeing a full catalogue of looks!

I'm guessing your hat is a product of LFG's knitting - it looks nicely finished and what a pom-pom! How I love variegated yarn!

I laughed so hard I spit coffee all over a new silk blouse. It was so worth it. If there were many more fathers like you the world would be a much better place.

Kerry...get that blouse off right now! Slowly...I'm playin' that na-nana-nuh-na-nana music in my head.

LimeGreener...the pom-pom was the deal maker for me.

AnonEngFem...I think you are making fun of me-again.

NCJack...Fogey committed a dollah as well. If you'll throw one in, I'm only 997 bucks away from getting a clear title on a pair of crocomoco.

AnonFrames...that picture is seven years old. Those frames were some no-name cheapies that I bought in NYC. When they broke, I went back to the place on Madison Avenue...A.R. Trapp opticians. The owner came from the back with a pair of identical ones but tres sturdier...vintage from the 1940's. They are great. But now, that style is very popular and you can usually find them.

Yoga....we did enjoy the evening. Finished the book report and had absurdly bad food. Pizza and 2% milk. And we split a Heath bar. I know I'm going to hell now.

If you were a wise man, you'd stuff a needlepoint belt kit in her stocking this Christmas...XXOO

AllievonErsatzNeedlePointGirlButtPolicePersonOfInterest...sounds like a good idea.

ADG,
Love the hat...love that you're going to wear it all week. I do agree with Allie - a needlepoint belt kit would be a fabulous idea. I have but one question, what color belgian shoe would one wear with that beautiful hat?

Adorable photo of your daughter on your shoulder. How well I remember my daughters at that age. My older one is a freshman in college and my younger one has just started driving. Savor those precious moments!
