Flusser Trad Concoctions and a Yellow Confession

While my debauchery and debacles over the years now has me fairly restrained regarding formal wear-there are some tasty options and variations out there. Black Corduroy D.B. Shawl-brilliant.

D.B. Shawl-Grosgrain Only Please. And yes, some sleeve cuffs.

Cashmere-Silk-Cotton Pin Wale Corduroy. Satin Peak Lapels. Satin Sleeve Cuffs. Purple Lining. Crescent Shaped Pockets-Satin Piping. Fuzziest of the Fuzzy Dice.

My rig is a bit more subdued. Off the peg Ralph-Grosgrain Shawl S. B.

Flusser uses a wider gauge grosgrain than Ralph. Grosgrain on a low dose of steroids...I like it.

Colony Trousers-Lots of Drape.

And then, during the decade of petroleum based fabrications-there was this boy. An this boy went to the prom. By all accounts, he and his date were…jaundiced?

Onward-Synthetically.

Ha! We've got a photo of my youngest sister. Beautiful now, quite beautiful then. Standing with her high school prom date. She all gorgeous blonde girlhood, he all pimples and a blue ruffled shirtfront. He sure looks happy though, despite the sartorial misstep.

With this comment, I hope to beat everyone else who's wondering which style of evening footwear you favour

As it happens, I like the use of a pleated blue evening shirt for "Black Tie With Twists"-style outings. Blame my inner scoundrel

In answer to your recent question, I'm still in Accra, aiming to be back in London next week

Keep it up,

B

I actually like your yellow tux!

(or perhaps it's the hipster in me who enjoys the irony of it)

At least it looked better than the flocks of d-bags dressed in the same shiny white suits and pink or orange shirt, without a tie, with both a belt AND braces and with long, square-toed monstrosities bought at aldo as shoes who showed up at my prom.

Toad...That's one of Alan's personal garments. Toad...I'm outta here this afternoon.

LPC...yep. The colors were blue-yellow or mint green polyester-tuxedo wise-back then.

Barima...if you are back in London before the 29th-let me know.

David...I hear you.
