Aviator Chairs and Grades

My little girl. My heart. The little bald headed toddler who used to feed me bits of bread so that I'd behave at the table…
…the little gregarious gal who swaggered around a honky tonk in South Carolina, balloon on tow, sorting out everything and everyone in the joint…
…mother to a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and currently, Grunter and Eye Roller in Chief when it comes to me…
…has done it again. First grading period for 8th grade. Straight A’s.
I think I’m going to buy a chair  to celebrate.

Onward. Aviation-ating

Get that chair. You deserve it, Pops.

I can imagine as a young boy how much fun that chair would be. Make-believe bi-plane written all over that thing!

Your fixation on that chair reminds me of why Oscar Wlde said the only thing to do with temptation is to yield to it. Over a year later, and you are still lusting. And furniture lust is just wrong, bo. Buy it, regret it, give it to Good Will, but get on with it.

Juan Junoz.

PS, well done LFG

Three things, Max.

1. I do think you's just messin with us on this chair thing. Again. But yet again, I still say get a pair if you get any at all, yes two.

2. Your daughter, she's killin it! Oh to have had such academic focus at her age.

3. Get over to LPC, and enter her tell-your-story challenge to win some cool shoes [which you will promptly give to LFG as a congratulations present]. Those boots, wow.

You've wanted that chair for a good 3 years, no? I think getting a pair of those bad boys might lessen the visual "BAM" of the design. Have you checked out the desk version? Looks like the wing to your chair's cockpit.

There is a swivel version that I got. It is slightly smaller and fits my little frame better. They are very comfortable. GET. IT.

That chair looks like something Ming the Merciless would leap out of to hurl curses at Flash Gordon

A definite "Buy it Now!"

A pair of swivels, yes, get them!

I love how you see you are giving up blogging and we have heard from you almost every day this week. Well, LFG deserves a special tribute. And I'll find you a better chair.

Yes, a pair of swivels.

Although RH usually shows them with the brown leather, they actually look quite good (better, in my opinion, in one of RH's black leathers. I think of of them is called slate. Check it out.

Also, RH will, no doubt, have another "Friends and Family" before Christmas. You can order them at a 20% savings, but you probably already knew that.

I own the chairs, and I' quite pleased (but not thrilled) with them. You would think for the price they would use real rivets, and not a gazillion tiny screws. So much for authenticity.

Definitely go for a pair (if they're not too outrageously expensive). Alternatively find a local craftsman, and a local car scrap yard, and make your own!

Oh she's gorgeous.....and clever too.
I have two Eye Rollers in Chief, I think the Boy version has maginally longer eyelashes that flash sky-ward, though the Girl version does hand gestures as she sweeps from the room. Not sure which is worse....

Get the chair!
