You can't be.

You are. That little baby in the photo. And I love you more than anything in the whole wide world.

You are the father of a teenage girl. You have my deepest sympathy, and condolences.

Oh NCJack, it's the thirteen year old girl who has my sympathy and condolences.

Happy LFG's Birthday to you, Max.

My baby girl is 33 but to me she will always be the baby in my lap laughing and trying to put her finger through the smoke rings I blew from my cigar....those were the days in more ways than one.

Congratulations to her and to you. It is really a blink of an eye...

Happy birthday L! Love the Christmas cards your dad sends, hope one day I get to meet you in real life!

California, anyone? My mom loves to have people stay in her guest house...

Wow.
My youngest turns 13 this Jan.
I am not looking forward to it, as it means soon she will start hating me, as her elder sister did.
I hate that.
ARG It SO sucks getting old!

Enough about me and my tequila-based rant of depression (My fam is away for the two week east-coast jaunt they do with fam. EVERY year while I WORK, during my freakin' anniversary even!).

sheesh.... a drunk, depressed blog responder.... ACK! (as Bill would say)

Happy Birthday!

"ACK! (as Bill would say)"

I miss Billy.

"California, anyone?"

Did I hear that correctly?

Back to my little-bit-vague remark, it's that 13/14/15 are so rough on girls [young women] that LFG has my sympathy, but she obviously works hard, keeps good company, and has the best-ever Dad, so her level head and solid parents will see her through.

Well, that was quick. Good luck keeping her safe from MTV VMA nominees!

Best to you and to her,

Hey, it was my birthday as well. The best of luck to you in the upcoming minefield. Though I myself am not a father, the most rebellious teenaged girl I ever knew (my sister), is currently as close with our parents as any young woman I know. That anecdote is supposed to be somewhat calming. Keep up the good work.

How did the honoree like her Ray Bans? Do you think Her Royal Highness would permit a photo wearing her birthday shades?

Happy Birthday LFG! Don't worry—some day, your father won't be a total dweeb anymore. Until then, put up with him as best you can, and try to be understanding of his daughter-embarrassing ways.
